LC-1 install with the Logbox...

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
You freakin' rock!!! I knew this was out there somewhere. :) I will be diving into it sometime after my ride tomorrow. Thanks! v/r Russ

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
I did a post on installing the LC-1 on my b-king awhile ago, i think it is what you are after with regards to installing the LC-1 http://www.suzukib-king.org/t6552-innovate-motorsports-lc-1-install

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
I will let the more experienced tuners and racers field this one but I would probably want to be albe to connect to the LC-1. I understand your time constraints though. Best of luck with your tuning and please let us know how you do! v/r Russ

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
Do you think it's worth the expense or should we just trust that it's putting out the right voltage? I'm on the dyno tomorrow and have now got an additional lambda sensor to screw in to the exhaust so I can log it on the bike and also see what the lambda sensor on the dyno thinks the air/fuel ratio should be.

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
Thanks Sportbikeryder. I was going to do the install this weekend but it looks like I am going to ride Sat morning. I will problaby try to get started next week. Are you tied in right at the ECU harness? I will probably run the gauge temporarily for peace of mind off the second analog out. Just so I can see if I have done something stupid. :) Mike E- My brand new LC-1 still has a serial connection. I have a ruggedized laptop that I use in the garage that still has a serial port but many people are successfully using a usb to serial cable and drivers with success. I will be purchasing one so I can use my primary laptop as well that is USB only. You can google LC-1 usb to serial and find some details. NewEgg carries a couple of different inexpensive cables. I beleive that the ones that are FTDI compliant support USB2 and the older cables support only USB1. Either should work for the LC-1 but I have not confirmed this. It is possible that someone else can chime that has used one or both.

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
My LC1 is fairly old and only has a serial connector to plug it in to a laptop. Is there any way to see the voltages or access it via the ECU on the bike to check the voltages, etc.?

Re: LC-1 install with the Logbox...
Not really. Install per Innovate's instructions and connect the 0-5V analog out to the ecu. I recommend connecting the LC-1 to a laptop and looking at the warmup and calibration cycles real time on the screen. Once you are up and running, you can compare the serial data from teh laptop to the data stream value on the logbox/engine data.

 LC-1 install with the Logbox...
I just got my LC-1 in the mail on Monday. I am just going over the installations documents and wondering if there are any specific guides or instructions for installations with my Logbox. I don't recall seeing any and I been searching several of the forums that cater to WR devices and tuning. I would be grateful for any insight or lessons learned even in regards to placement. Thanks all!
