Re: Logbox led's |
Quick update, the auto updating feature was working on these log boxes, please make sure that the firmware.bin file is saved onto the micro sd card with exactly this name, if it is not saved with this name it will not be detected and the log box will not be upgraded. |

Re: Logbox led's |
hi, the logging works fine as i see the led flashing quicker once status is met to log, but the firmware file remains in the root even after powering it up after saving the firmware update file to the SD root. the other is that the two leds above the usb plug do not come on at all expcet when connected to the usb / pc on all four of the new ones i received? could that not be the cause of the frimware not updating?
i know now you perform the update but i loaded it and it should install whether it is already installed or not and then delete the file?
the first LB i have is working like a dream only found this on the 4 new ones after i installed it on the guys bikes...
i have installed firmware more than once by mistake on the first LB and each time it installed and deleted the file as per your indication and these 4 dont do it - there is also no "live" engine data via these four LB's to WRT software, i am unsure if it is designed to be as EE engine data screen? |

Re: Logbox led's |
Part of my setup before sending a log box is to upgrade the firmware to the latest version, i also check the engine data and flashing part of the log box on every unit before sending them.
It is very straight forward to upgrade the firmware, copy the firmware.bin file (it must be named firmware.bin) to the root of the micro sd card, unplug the log box from both USB cable and Bike harness. so that it is totally shut down from all power. Plug the log box into the bike harness only (i.e. no USB connected) and turn the bike on, it will initially flash rapidly as it updates the firmware, once updated it will delete the firmware from the micro sd card.
So do the functions work for the USB side of things? does engine data and flashing work? They may have defective LED's? Its very unusual that both have the same problem? |

Logbox led's |
hi JW, one of the new logboxes i received does not have both indicaiton leds on when logging only the comms led next to the changeover switch flashes once all conditions are met but the other led on the bottom end doesnt come on - also the firmaware update does not take place with this one??
could you possible know why this is?
thanks
