Re: Harness Install Issues |
That would be a very tedious job, but great to hear it worked out for you. |

Re: Harness Install Issues |
Got the issue resolved. Ended up cutting each wire on the ECU plug and soldering them to a brand new plug. It was very tedious and time consuming but it can be done and I got the first flash done! |

Re: Harness Install Issues |
Hi ,
I wouldn't pull it back apart just yet.
Not all ecu's are readable ,what Bike / ecu do you have ?
Does flashing work ?
sometimes if in doubt flash in a very low rev limit then test to make sure that is flashing. |

Harness Install Issues |
So i finally got time to work on installing the LogBox that i got last week in the mail.
Removing the plugs went fine and the first new wire install on the ECU Plug went fine.
That is when things started to go wrong.
When installing the second wire it wouldn't go in (Same orientation as the last one). Finally after messing with it for an hour or so on this one wire it finally started to go in.
Soon as I looked on the plug side i noticed why. The connector that holds the new wire in place had broke and now I have nothing holding that wire in place.
So I mess with that a little more and get it situated to where i think it might stay, put the orange cap back on and plug it into the ECU.
Yesterday I put the rest back together and tried to see if i could read the ecu from WRT. I am getting an error when trying to read from the ecu. I am able to connect to engine data though and can see the TPS change as I move the throttle so i am guessing the brown wire that is messed up on the plug is the Tx wire.
Any advice on how to fix the connector on the ECU side?
Should I try taking apart the connector and then gluing it in place? Can I order a new plug? |
