Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
When you open logs in WRT autotune, filters are applied to filter out unwanted data. Please check that the stock O2 sensor is actually registering correctly by checking the exported data. Also take a look at the filters, try clearing the filters and see if data begins to appear. |

tomorrow I will be joining a track day at Sepang Circuit. I hope to be able to log enough data. |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi,
After flashing the ecu, I set the log box to log (center position) and make rode the bike.
I saw the wrl files but when I tried to open it up (view) using the WRT software, there's nothing displayed.
When I converted those wrl files into csv using ecu editor software, I manage to view some info in the spreadsheet.
Can you guide me on how to log files and use the autotune?
I am still using stock O2 sensor. I flashed my bking with Busa bin file.
Thanks |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi, a new log file is created each time you ride the bike, they are saved with incrementally rising number, i.e. 0001.wrl 0002.wrl etc etc
The log data is written and saved to the .wrl file as you ride, so when you plug the USB cable in you will see a series of .wrl log files from each time you have ridden the bike. |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi Justin,
I have a question. Say after we have set the log box to log engine data. Then nwe disconnect the USB and ride off to log data. What happen if I stop the bike after riding it a while and off the engine? Is the log file saved inside the memory?
AFter I start back the engine, will the log box continue to log the data automatically?
Thanks |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Yes you are better to use the WRT software, however i would suggest that it is best to create the initial bin file in ecueditor, save it then open it in WRT. You can open bin files created in ecueditor with WRT but not the other way. It will just leave your options open.
Yes you can use any of the busa bin files freely. |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I am confident to do this.
Just to ask, unless I am installing a quickshifter, if not, I better be using this WRT software instead of the ecu editor right?
If I flash my ecu now, the setting will remain until I flash the bike ecu again with either WRT or ECU Editor software right?
I saw that you have no comment on the Busa bin file that I am going to use. Can I use any of the Busa file freely? No effect right?
Thanks |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
no it sounds like you are doing great. The only reason the settings screen would pop up is if the COM Port was not set. it should only do this once and then once the COM Port is set it will just use the stored COM port provided an interface with that COM Port is connected. |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi,
I would like to walk you through what I have done.
- re-install new WRT software
- update to the new version v.1.1.27
- login to my account via software and manage to download 33 bin files
- open a busa > 2008-2012 > 32920-15H10 (should I use this bin file or the one with 15HXX? My bike is BKing 2008, imported from USA, Cali)
- adjust limiters and tick off the "top speed limiter" box
- in the advance setting, can I change the fan temp to lower? is it recommended?
- since I am using stock O2 sensor, I believe the HO2 box must remain ticked. What about other boxes which readily been ticked such as PAIR valve, ISC and TOS?
- I also ticked the bking gauges box
- I then connect my log box to the motor harness and to my laptop
- then set the COM port
- then position the log box indicator at the flashing mode (red light)
- then click write ecu
- then the settings page pops up
- here I don't really change much as I havent log in any engine data
- then flash the ecu by clicking the write ecu button
- then position the log box to engine data
- start the motor engine
is there anything that I missed out |

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi
I am assuming you are talking about flashing a B-King ECU with a Gen 2 Hayabusa bin file? You can use either WRT or ecueditor, however there are still some things that are not available in WRT including shifter etc. What you can do is create the bin file initially in ecueditor and enable any of the settings you would like to use that are not available in WRT, then you can open the bin file in WRT and make use of the new and improved AutoTune and map editing features.
Windows should detect both the mass storage device (centre position for reading the .wrl log files from the micro SD card) and the serial ports when you plug the log box into your computer. You can open up Device Manager in windows and check under "Ports (COM and LPT)" and look for "USB Serial Port" to confirm that the drivers have been loaded.
No questions are too basic I am sure if you ask the question somone else is thinking it. Please be sure to read Installation Guides and User Manuals on the Documents page on our site.

Re: What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log |
Hi Justin,
Im going to install the log box + wiring harness next week. But before that, I have some question:
- I have installed both ecu editor software as well as the WRT software. For flashing my ecu with gen2 Busa bin file, I should be using the ecu editor software right? or I can do this in the WRT software?
- if I plug in the log box, i will self detect and download the software and establish the com ports?
I apologize if the above questions too basic,,, as when it comes to IT related stuff... I am a bit off...
Thanks |

What do i need to get started with a Woolich Racing Log Box? |
To get started with a Woolich Racing Log Box you first need to purchase a Log Box with the appropriate harness for you bike. Please use our Products Page and select your bike model and year of manufacture. This will display the Log Box with the correct harness for you bike. Click the "Add to Cart" button and follow the checkout process through to make payment via Paypal.com.
It is also strongly recommended that you purchase and install a Wideband O2 sensor. You can find some recommendations on suitable Wideband O2 sensors and controllers on our Wideband O2 FAQ page.
You need to wire the 0-5v analogue output from the Wideband O2 controller directly into your ECU. You can find which pin you route the 0-5v into on the following FAQ page http://www.woolichracing.com/FAQItem.aspx?Id=5
You will also need to enable the Wideband O2 sensor in the bin file and write (flash) the changes to the ECU. You will find the Wideband O2 sensor setting on the Advanced Settings page in the Woolich Racing Tuned software (where available) or in the ecueditor software for some models. |
