Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
I only test the shifter with the key on engine off. ok then maybe that explains why I feel that my ecu isn't getting written correctly. thank u

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
You mentioned you have an air shifter, the air shifting part would still work, but the engine would not be cut in this situation, but with the pressure from the air shifter it would probably still shift gears, however it is not good for the gear box to apply this sort of load without the engine cut from the shifter inside the ecu.

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
it says it has created a new bin file and when I write it it says its erasing ecu and then it starts writing 1 of 16.... etc.and everything does change from what was in there prior but like I said my shifter still works and makes me think its or im not doing something correctly

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
The quickshifter function should not be active if you have created a new bin file within WRT. When you write a new bin file to the ECU it completely erases the ECU and writes the new stock bin file to the ECU.

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
I have done this and the only thing that changes is what I changed prior, which are only the limiters etc. my air shifter which is operated through my ecu still works fine. so my question is in a basic map how is this possible

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
To return to stock, click the "New" button on the main window in WRT, select your manufacturer, model, year and ECU Part number of your bike. This will open a stock unmodified bin file. Then click Write ECU.

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
I am still new at doing my own editing so how do I return my ecu to base map and how do I know for certain

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
We add a small amount of data for things like bin file notes and unification settings etc, but these are stored in blank area of the bin file.

Re: Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
Yes from the perspective of the maps and settings it will be back to stock. The " perspective" reference implies the image will be different? Of so how? Thanks.

Yes from the perspective of the maps and settings it will be back to stock.

Returning Flashed ECU Back to 100% Stock
If I were to flash my ECU with the base map would my ECU be 100% stock without any remnants of the flash?
